Concert Series: MLK Jr. Gospel Choir

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Choir San Diego (MLKCCSD) is a non-profit charitable organization. The choir’s purpose is to raise scholarship funds for local college-bound students aspiring to major in the arts. Under the direction of Pastor Ken Anderson, the repertoire of the MLKCCSD is primarily gospel. With the exception of classical pieces and some Negro spiritual arrangements, the music is taught by rote, after the originating oral tradition.
